It is a select group of people brave enough to invite our whole family over for dinner. Grandma Edith has joined the ranks!
Shortly after we arrived back in Michigan, she stopped me at church and asked if she could have our family over for dinner some time. I said that sounded lovely, but let her know it would be a bit into the school year before our traveling schedule would slow down sufficiently.

She really lives only just around the corner. She's originally from Kentucky. She KNOWS how to lay out a spread: pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet corn, dinner rolls, tapioca pudding with cookies for dessert.
But what was more fun was listening to Grandma Edith share stories -
- And it was a unanimous family consensus that we need to invite Grandma Edith to our next doughnut Saturday!
