Five Minute Friday ~ Belong

"On Fridays hundreds of writers gather [chez Lisa-Jo] to put words to their days. You’re welcome to join from your blog, your pen and paper, your thoughts left [@ Lisa-Jo's] in the comments. As long as you write. From anywhere – your desk, your phone in the car pool line, your rocking chair with the baby in your arm and you typing on your computer.

How to Join:
Want to know how... how to participate? ...

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community...

OK, are you ready? Please give us your best five minutes on the word~

Belong…

To be... long

Existing for a significant time
or
covering a substantial distance

To long... to be

          Wishing, craving, yearning,
aspiring, desiring to be
present, current, real

To belong

fitting, feeling right, measuring appropriately...
classifying or assigning rightly to a specific place or time...
including, blending, complementing, conforming...
harmonizing

We do belong,
together,
in every sense of the word, family ~

And if nothing else, all ten of us living together, mostly out of vans and/or a tent for 6 weeks while traveling on 3 different continents confirms that truth.

  3. I would so love to travel with our kids! Someday, when my husband's job is more flexible, and so is our bank account, it will happen. :)
