it's one of our most favorite Niamey haunts!
...for brochettes (shish-ka-bobs) and fries ~
and to watch the sunset,
while bats fly up the river,
children chase toads all over the veranda,
or play on playground equipment that would never meet safety standards in the States,
fishermen return home as it grows dark
and the lights of never-ending traffic beam from the Kennedy Bridge.
