Wrights Broadcasting Truth to Niger, Fall 2012

Therefore be imitators of God,
as beloved children; and walk in love,
just as Christ also loved you
and gave Himself up for us,
an offering and a sacrifice to God
as a fragrant aroma.
But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you,
as is proper among saints;
and there must be no filthiness
and silly talk, or coarse jesting,
which are not fitting,
but rather giving of thanks.

Ephesians 5.1-4 (NASB)

How did it happen that Thanksgiving time has arrived… AGAIN?!! Yes, we’re rhetorically questioning! As we read Facebook 30 days of thanks statuses, it is clear that people are thinking about giving thanks. Discussing this verse with some of our children, we also reflect on some of its inescapable implications.

Interesting…

God considers thanksgiving antonymous behavior to filthiness, silly talk and coarse jesting...
