Nope, not at our house. One of our few "luxuries" here is a membership at a Recreation Center affiliated with the American International School of Niamey (for diplomatic/expat kids). Thus, when the weather gets unbearably hot in the afternoons, I take the kids and we cool off. There is also a playground, softball field, tennis, bball courts, soccer field, tetherball, an air-conditioned room with satellite TV (yeah for college football!) and a buvette to get "American" food. It is our little sanctuary and most Saturdays will find us there - a little touch of "home" in the midst of the desert.
Richelle, is this at your house, or do you have to go out somewhere to swim? Just curious...
