Well, kiddos would be heartbroken to read this, but all those animals aren't the highpoint of my Niger existance... I put up with them because the kiddos love them... and even though I don't love them the way they do, my heart still breaks for them when one of their pets dies... and Niger is hard on pets.
And, all of that is true, except that I could collect birds. Those I find fascinating.

yeah, you can't wait to see green in a few weeks, but think of all those creatures you won't see for a year!! Maybe you're okay with that???
