Multitude Monday ~ 1000 Gifts ~ "...there is no poverty."

"If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it;
blame yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches;
for from the Creator, there is no poverty."
 ~Rainer Maria Rilke

#626 the LAST week of school before Christmas break

#627 a normal length church service at Harobanda yesterday... and a sweet baby that snuggled happily on my lap mostly quietly most of the 2+ hours

#628 my gang thoroughly enjoying watching and listening to a choir of Christmas angels sing last night

#629 small, cute, furry and slobbery creatures

#630 our little guy who, even though he stole our day, we are so thankful for him and that we are celebrating 6 this week

#631 listening to that little guy speak French

#632 listening to her tell us she wants to try and pass the French exams at the end of next year... simply amazed at how that girl pushes herself to do things that are uncomfortable, but a challenge and good for her...

#633 half days

#634 listening to Tim talk to his mama via Skype last night

#635 a week of medical miracles... amazing and inconceivable gifts from our Lord Who hears when our hearts cry

#636 this: "worshipping fully, spending less, giving more, loving all"... and praying God grows more and more of this spirit in me and my family

#637 a friend who writes about discussing the blind man that Jesus healed with men in the village. First, Jesus asked the blind man, "What do you want me to do for you?" So our friend asked the men,"What do you want Jesus to do for you?" One of them answered, "I want him to show me the road to eternal life."

Our kids often remark that the sun in a harmattan sky
reminds them of a full moon at dusk.

Off to the "laundry mat."

Making blankets.

Tea.

#638 our little girl wondering, asking why Jesus had to be born just so that He could die on a cross

#639 questioning, open, seeking hearts

#640 teens who will say they are sorry and seek forgiveness

#641 slumber parties and henna-ed hands, including an army man with a sword and spear for our little man

#642 Holy Spirit prompting: I listened, shot an arrow prayer upward, listened again, changed my course of action and avoided a significant amount of frustration

#643 medical insurance refund checks, even if they are nearly 2 years after the fact

#644 finally mastering creme of tomato soup and eating it with toasted garlic and parmesan cheese bread Sunday night after church... it might become our Niger Sunday Night new tradition!

#645 nearly 16 years together... this week! and I'm still shocked and awed that for some incomprehensible reason, he chose me... God chose us, together...
